Astute People has exclusively partnered with a power plant developer, owner & operator who is building a fleet of biomass power plants across North Carolina. We’re keen to speak with experienced EIC Technicians who have experience in a power generation, industrial or heavy engineering environments. This is a chance to work across multiple assets, helping guide them through commissioning into operation. Responsibilities & duties. Reporting to the EIC Engineer, you will be responsible for… Maintaining, installing and calibrating a wide variety of instrumentation and electrical systems for boiler, turbine and ancillary components. Fault finding and editing PLCs. Testing and calibrating safety devices. Working with the EIC Engineer on long-term engineering solutions & improvements for the power plant. Acting as a subject matter expert on all control equipment (PLCs’ EDS and communication equipment) through commissioning and general plant operations. Professional skills and experience. Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering / Controls or related field. Experience gained in a power generation, heavy engineering or industrial setting. Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience on PLC systems. Commissioning experience is desirable but no essential. Salary & benefits. Competitive basic salary.
