Astute People is hiring a Carbon Capture and Storage Project Support Engineer for a leading Energy company, primarily based in Runcorn, Cheshire, with flexibility to work from other Power Stations. Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company to recruit for a Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Project Support Engineer to be based in Runcorn, Cheshire. You can work from any other of their Power Stations in the country, but most of your time will be spent in Runcorn.

The vital CCS Project Support Engineer role comes with a basic salary of c£48,500 + bonus + Benefits.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Supporting the Carbon Capture and Storage project through the FEED stage
• Keeping the document management system updated
• Following the company's HSE policies throughout the project
• Being involved in the civil and mechanical engineering project phases
• Managing subcontractors and contracts relating to different packages
• Liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders

Professional Qualifications
• A degree in a relevant engineering subject such as Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, etc.
• A health and safety qualification will be advantageous but not a necessity

Personal Skills, Prior Experience and Knowledge
• A few years post-graduate experience working in heavy process engineering environments (Power, Paper Mills, CHP, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, etc)
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Experience in project delivery, including EPC, will be desirable
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT skills
