The successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas to include, but not limited to:Dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixturesWashing windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixturesSweeping, scrubbing and refinishing floorsVacuuming and shampooing carpetRe-stocking restroomsReplacing light bulbsReporting repairs

Most of the work is indoors but may assist with outdoor cleaning including parking lot, windows, and roof. Various cleaning activities may include the use of a ladder.

Heavy contact with cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes.Removes waste by:Collecting and transporting soiled linenEmptying trash containersChanging sharps containersTransporting solid and hazardous waste to compactorsRecycling materialEmptying cigarette receptacles in smoking areasKeeps equipment clean and orderly and reports equipment failures or other mechanical issues to maintenance staff.Maintains safe working environment and provides quality service by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, infection control guidelines, and meeting departmental quality standards.Attends all required in-service education and training classes including safety update programs to maintain technical knowledge.Consistently demonstrates the ability to meet time schedules and deadlines.

Atrium Health is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Technician. This position promotes environmental protection by maintaining healthy and safe medical facilities for employees and visitors. Responsible for routine cleaning of floors, carpets, walls, assigned project work, and general cleaning tasks. Maintains an acceptable standard of cleanliness in linen rooms, trash rooms, collection containers and dock area, as well as all entrances under shelters and courtyard of the facilities.
