Job Description
Green Bay Packaging Inc is hiring a Forklift Operator in Chickasha, OK. The role involves loading and unloading materials, moving items, and ensuring safety in the work area. Position OverviewThe Forklift Operator is responsible for using a forklift to load and unload materials, move items around the facility, and supply materials to production machines. This includes following the production schedule, stacking and organizing goods, and checking that loads are secure. The role also involves doing daily equipment checks, using an RF scanner, and helping keep the work area clean and safe. A forklift certification and attention to safety are required.Responsibilities· High school diploma or equivalent· Good math, language, and reading skills· Basic computer skills may be required· High degree of attention required to prevent injury and promote a safe work environment· Ability to follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records· Complete assignments accurately, safely, and on time· Maintain a clean and safe work environment· May be required to use an RF scanner gun· Clean driving record and valid state driver’s license may be required· Forklift certification per OSHA standardsQualifications· Obtain a copy of the production schedule or shipping order· Transport materials or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility· Provide raw or WHIP stock to production machines according to the schedule· Load and unload goods from vehicles· Move goods packed on pallets or slip sheets around the storage facility· Stack goods in the correct storage bays following inventory control instructions· Check that loads are secure· Stack empty pallets· Perform daily forklift equipment checks per OSHA guidelines· Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines· Examine products to verify they meet quality standards· Dump materials into machine hoppersCompensation & BenefitsIn addition to a competitive wage, the selected candidate will enjoy a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, wellness programs, STD, LTD, life insurance, company matching 401(k) and pension.
