Job Description

Atrium Health is seeking Environmentalists in Macon, GA, to develop and implement sustainable practices across its facilities. Responsibilities include conducting audits, collaborating with teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, training staff, and managing recycling programs. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and track progress towards sustainability goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into all aspects of Atrium Health operations.
Stay updated on current environmental regulations and laws to ensure compliance and make recommendations for any necessary changes.
Educate and train Atrium Health staff on environmentally-friendly practices and the importance of sustainability.
Research and recommend eco-friendly products and services for use within Atrium Health facilities.
Create and maintain partnerships with local environmental organizations and community groups to promote sustainability efforts.
Develop and manage recycling and waste reduction programs.
Monitor energy and water usage and develop strategies to decrease consumption and increase efficiency.
Participate in the development of Atrium Health's sustainability policies and procedures.
Communicate sustainability goals and progress to Atrium Health staff, stakeholders, and the public.
Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in sustainable practices to continuously improve Atrium Health's environmental impact.
Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to advocate for environmental policies and regulations that align with Atrium Health's sustainability goals.
Prepare reports and presentations on Atrium Health's sustainability efforts for internal and external use.
Continuously evaluate and improve Atrium Health's sustainability programs and initiatives.
