Our client, a leading global consumer goods company, is looking for an innovative and strategic Brand Manager with a focus on Sustainable Packaging to join their marketing team in Los Angeles, California, US. This is a critical role focused on driving the development and implementation of environmentally conscious packaging strategies across a portfolio of high-profile brands. You will be at the forefront of shaping how our products reach consumers in a more sustainable manner, aligning with company-wide ESG goals and consumer expectations. Your responsibilities will include conducting market research to identify trends in sustainable materials and consumer preferences, collaborating with R&D, procurement, and external suppliers to identify and vet innovative packaging solutions, and developing compelling brand narratives around sustainability initiatives. You will manage the packaging innovation pipeline, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of the FMCG landscape, the challenges and opportunities in packaging sustainability, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. You will work closely with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of new packaging designs into the market. Developing and executing integrated marketing plans to communicate sustainability efforts to consumers will be key. You'll also monitor and report on key performance indicators related to packaging sustainability, consumer perception, and market share. Responsibilities: Develop and execute the brand's sustainable packaging strategy. Identify and evaluate new sustainable packaging materials and technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing) to bring sustainable packaging solutions to market. Manage the packaging innovation pipeline, project timelines, and budgets. Conduct market analysis and consumer research related to sustainable packaging. Develop marketing and communication plans for sustainability initiatives. Build strong relationships with suppliers and external partners. Analyze and report on the impact of sustainable packaging initiatives. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in brand management or product marketing, preferably within the FMCG sector. Demonstrated experience and passion for sustainable packaging solutions. Strong understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chains. Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and project management skills. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
