This role is based in Sioux Falls and offers the opportunity to guide roadway and highway projects from concept through completion while building strong client relationships along the way.
You will play a key role in delivering high quality transportation projects while balancing scope, schedule, and budget, and contributing to the continued growth of our Transportation practice.
About the Role
In this role, you will lead transportation projects focused on roadway interchange and highway design, working closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle.
You’ll be involved in project planning, design oversight, client communication, and construction coordination, gaining visibility across all phases of delivery.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced leadership while building your ability to manage complex projects, lead teams, and drive successful outcomes. Over time, you will take on greater ownership of client relationships, project strategy, and team leadership.

What You Will Be Doing
Lead the planning and delivery of transportation projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to maintain strong communication and successful project outcomes.
Take ownership of project performance, including financial management, scheduling, and resource coordination.
Oversee quality of deliverables, ensuring alignment with company standards and design guidelines.
Support and lead proposal development, client presentations, and business development efforts.

What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Professional Engineer license in South Dakota (MUST HAVE)
At least ten years of experience in highway or roadway design with project management responsibility
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and experience working with clients and leading teams
Familiarity with industry tools such as MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer
Experience with SDDOT projects is highly preferred
