As a Train Operator at RTD, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our light rail and commuter trains, while also providing exceptional customer service to our passengers. Monitor train operations and ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of train equipment and report any issues or defects.
Communicate effectively with passengers and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
Respond promptly and professionally to any emergency situations or service disruptions.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing RTD.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, punctuality, and safety.
Collaborate with other train operators and transportation staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Utilize electronic and manual systems to track train movements and maintain accurate records.
Keep up-to-date on all training and certifications required for train operation.
Continuously assess and improve personal performance to ensure efficient and effective train operations.
Assist passengers with boarding and exiting trains, including those with special needs.
Report any issues or concerns with train operations, equipment, or passenger behavior to superiors.
Attend meetings and trainings as required by RTD.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing RTD and interacting with passengers, colleagues, and superiors.
