Job Description
The Las Vegas Valley Water Company is seeking a Summer Intern for Water Resources, located in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in biology or environmental science and be available to work 40 hours weekly. Responsibilities include conducting wildlife and biological surveys. Applicants must submit detailed applications by the deadline and have a valid Nevada driver's license. This is a seasonal, on-site internship.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in biology, environmental science, wildlife biology, or a closely related field. They should be eager to gain first-hand experience conducting wildlife, fisheries, and other biological surveys along the Las Vegas Wash and at the Warm Springs Natural Area. The candidate should be comfortable working irregular hours-such as early mornings or late nights-to ensure high-quality data collection. A strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn will thrive in this role.
ELIGIBILITY/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related field (e.g., chemistry, water resource, hydrology).
Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
Available to work 40 hours weekly.
A valid Nevada driver's license
Legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off-campus.
