Summer Intern- Water Resources

The Las Vegas Valley Water Company is seeking a Summer Intern for Water Resources, located in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in biology or environmental science and be available to work 40 hours weekly. Responsibilities include conducting wildlife and biological surveys. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in biology, environmental science, wildlife biology, or a closely related field. They should be eager to gain first-hand experience conducting wildlife, fisheries, and other biological surveys along the Las Vegas Wash and at the Warm Springs Natural Area. The candidate should be comfortable working irregular hours-such as early mornings or late nights-to ensure high-quality data collection. A strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn will thrive in this role.

ELIGIBILITY/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related field (e.g., chemistry, water resource, hydrology).
Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
Available to work 40 hours weekly.
A valid Nevada driver's license
Legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off-campus.
