Bus Captain

SBS Transit Ltd is hiring a Bus Captain in Singapore to drive and operate buses, ensuring passenger safety and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include vehicle checks, assisting passengers, and managing emergencies. Candidates must have at least GCE O/N Level or equivalent, a valid driving license, and a minimum of one year of driving experience. Shift work is required, and recruitment will take place through walk-in interviews at designated locations.
Responsibilities:

Driving and operating of internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric buses on schedule routes and timetables to board and alight passengers at bus stops.Providing passengers on board the buses with a safe, reliable and delightful journeyConduct high level checks on bus controls and on-board equipment such as testing bus doors, fare readers and engine to ensure vehicle readiness for service commencement and termination.Provide high quality customer service such as answering enquires, facilitating cash payment or card payment via bus reader devices and assisting disabled or elderly passengers to board and alight from the bus.Work with Bus Operating Control Centre (BOCC) to execute crisis management procedures in emergencies or accidents such as ushering passengers to safe points or follow up of journey continuation methods to resume operations.Requirements:

Minimum GCE “O” or “N” Level education, or an equivalentPossess a valid Class 3A/3/4A/4 driving license, with minimum 1 year driving experienceShift work required
