Sr. Project Manager, Water Wastewater

What You Will Do

GFT is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Water to join our Water / Wastewater Team in Southern California! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at one of the following offices: Los Angeles, Irvine, Chino Hills, Ontario, Long Beach, Santa Ana, or San Diego, California.

What You’ll Be Challenged To Do

In this role, you will work closely with our technical experts, project teams, and client service managers to advance our technical services and support business development on a wide variety of wastewater and water resources projects in California.

This position is responsible for providing all aspects of engineering for water/wastewater utility projects for public and municipal utility district clients. In addition to leading a team of engineers and technical professionals, this position will also be actively involved in professional associations and community organizations as GFT continues building.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Prepare proposals, budgets, and client agreementsLead and oversee design and technical aspects of the team(s) projects including detailed engineering design and calculations, report writing, permitting, and presentations to clientsWrite responses to client RFQs and SolicitationsDevelop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leadersCoordinate and monitor project tasks, budgets, and schedulesParticipate in the development of company design and production standardsDirect and manage the implementation of a project including coordination with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and other external and internal parties to achieve project milestonesOversee and manage construction phases of projects to ensure works are completed in accordance with the contract documents, on time and budgetParticipate in professional associations and civic organizations within the communitySupport client marketing and business development activities required to procure project assignments, including development of scope, schedule and budget for proposals.Mentor staff and lead development of other PMs

Education | Experience:

What You Will Bring To Our Firm

Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of California.15 or more years' experience managing substantial water and wastewater projects from conception to completion.Demonstrated strong project management skills.Successful record of delivering projects on schedule, budget and meeting the client's Ability to provide oversight and guidance of project management fundamentals.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $145,000 - $225,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
