Job Description

Crusoe Energy is seeking a Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist in Williston, ND. The role involves assessing risks, developing HSE processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting audits, and training personnel. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, disability, genetic information, pregnancy, citizenship, marital status, sex/gender, sexual preference/ orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, national origin, or any other status protected by law or regulation.ResponsibilitiesAssessing risks to workers and making recommendations to reduce risk as appropriateDeveloping and implementing various HSE processes, procedures, work instructions, and checklists as appropriateMonitoring compliance to regulations, policies, and proceduresMonitoring and reporting on HSE objectives and metricsEnsuring that HSE is an integral part of Management discussions, objectives, and priorities Liaising with local contractors, clients and agencies regarding HSE issuesCollaborating with clients and third party service providers regarding HSE issuesPlan and assist with compliance audits and self-assessmentsFacilitate incident investigations and root cause analysis efforts following failures, incidents or accidents Actively monitor and follow-up on the status of corrective actions, reports, and auditsCoordinate and actively participate in the HSE training of personnelMaintain awareness of new HSE requirements and management accordinglyEnsure compliance with environmental rules and regulations for worksites Ensure that the relevant HSE documentation is maintained and available at the worksitesTo develop and maintain a high level of HSE awareness and culture through communications, training, and promoting active involvement in HSE programsRequirementsUniversity degree preferred; equivalent experience to be considered7+ years of relevant industry experience is highly preferred. Oil and gas or construction experience is preferredTechnical knowledge of various HSE rules and regulations at both the Federal and State level.
