Sargent & Lundy is hiring a Project Manager for their Clean Energy Consulting group. This hybrid role requires in-office work 3 days a week and involves leading power generation projects, managing teams, and developing consulting plans. Candidates should have a relevant engineering degree and at least 15 years of power industry experience. About the position

This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week. Sargent & Lundy is one of the largest and most experienced power industry engineering and consulting firms. We have a unique and exciting opportunity to join our Consulting group in the role of a Project Manager. This position will require you to lead and execute work associated with the development, financing, and execution of power generation projects. This position is being added to support continued growth of the Sargent & Lundy Consulting group, which regularly provides technical and financial due diligence, asset transaction support, project development services, independent engineering services, owner’s engineering services, and long-term planning support. This position will require a great deal of face-to-face interaction with power project developers, utilities, investors, legal advisors, and financial institutions during the execution of consulting services work for the firm.

Responsibilities

Develop consulting project execution plan to meet client’s needsReviewing deliverables such as reports and studiesLead project team by providing clear instruction including technical approachesManage hours and work performed to budget and scopeDevelop staff expertise through training and mentoringPrepare proposals for consulting project opportunitiesSupporting multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring a high quality standard is metTraveling occasionally to visit project locations and client offices.Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering (other engineering disciplines or finance/economics may be considered)15 or more years of experience in the power industryOwner’s engineer, independent engineer, and/or design engineer experience for development and execution of power generationExperience managing teams of engineersExperience and technical knowledge in multiple power generation technologies – solar, battery energy storage, wind, and thermalExperience performing feasibility studies for power projectsNice-to-haves

Experience in long-term power supply and transmission planning projects is a plusExperience in project finance or financial modeling of power projects is a plusExperience with project contracts such as power purchase agreements, asset transfer agreements, and EPC contracts is a plusPrior experience in a consulting role is a plusBenefits
