## Drive Sustainable Value at the Intersection of Strategy and Impact

Join ERM's Private Markets ESG & Impact Value Creation team and help some of the world's most influential private equity and infrastructure investors unlock growth through sustainability. This is a high-impact opportunity for experienced strategy professionals who want to apply analytical strengths and commercial mindset to ESG initiatives that shape long-term value across global portfolios.

As a Consulting Senior Associate in Private Markets Value Creation, you'll work at the intersection of strategy, finance, and sustainability—advising investment teams, influencing C-suite decisions, and guiding portfolio companies toward meaningful, measurable impact. If you're passionate about market analysis, growth strategy, and embedding ESG into business performance, this role offers a strategic platform to deepen your expertise and accelerate your career. This position can be based in Manhattan, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, or Houston.

## Why This Role Matters

Private markets investors are increasingly turning to ESG and impact strategies to enhance value, strengthen competitive positioning, and future-proof their portfolios. You'll directly contribute to shaping these strategies—helping investors navigate sustainability trends, identify value creation opportunities, and translate ESG insights into commercial outcomes. Your work will influence investment decisions, operational priorities, and long-term business strategy across diverse sectors.

## What Your Impact Will Be

You'll lead strategic advisory engagements that help clients develop and implement ESG & impact strategies that unlock long-term value. Your responsibilities will include translating sustainability insights into top- and bottom-line growth, strengthening commercial positioning through market and customer analytics, and building financial models that quantify ESG's contribution to performance. You'll communicate complex strategic recommendations to investor and executive audiences, collaborate with global experts to deliver integrated ESG solutions, and mentor rising team members while strengthening client relationships.

### Core Responsibilities

In the client and project leadership space, you'll lead the development and execution of ESG and impact strategies that deliver competitive advantage and measurable value. You'll conduct market assessments to identify sustainability trends, customer dynamics, and emerging opportunities, then create pricing strategies aligned with ESG value propositions to strengthen market positioning. Financial modeling is central to this role—you'll build and analyze models to quantify the revenue and profitability impact of ESG initiatives and identify both top- and bottom-line growth opportunities connected to sustainability.

Partnership with private equity investment teams, operating partners, and portfolio company leadership will be crucial as you embed ESG into business strategy and develop compelling presentations that translate complex ESG insights into clear strategic recommendations. On the team side, you'll work with ERM's global network of subject-matter experts to deliver integrated solutions, provide coaching and support to junior consultants, and strengthen client relationships through excellent service delivery and thought leadership.

## What You'll Bring

You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Sustainability, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Entry level to 2.5 years in top-tier strategy consulting is required, with a focus on strategy development, market analysis, and financial modeling.

Your technical skill set should include strong Power. Point storytelling and presentation development, Excel modeling capability (advanced is a plus), and experience designing and executing strategic initiatives that drive value. Familiarity with ESG and sustainability concepts and their financial implications is essential, along with strong analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to derive insights from complex data. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, results-driven, collaborative, and passionate about sustainability.

Please note: This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

## Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience supporting investment teams or portfolio companies, experience presenting to executive-level audiences, and understanding of private equity and/or infrastructure investing are highly valued. Experience in sectors such as technology, healthcare, infrastructure, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, business services, or manufacturing is a plus.

## Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated annual base pay is $72,000–$95,293 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay; casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible.
