Job Description
The University of Wisconsin Colleges is seeking a Planning & Sustainability Specialist to manage facility planning initiatives and promote resource utilization. Responsibilities include strategic planning, project management, and liaising with stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in a related field and experience in sustainable projects are required. The position is based in Kenosha, WI, with an annual salary of $54,000-$60,000.

This may include Sustainability initiatives, serving as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, assisting with developing operating policies and procedures, assisting with the development, execution and utilization of strategic planning analysis to determine long term needs and develop sustainable solutions. This position reports to the Chief Facilities Officer.## Key Job Responsibilities: Manages and directs operational functions and planning of one or multiple facilities or projects to foster innovative solutions Assists with the development, execution, and utilization of strategic planning analysis to determine long term needs and develop sustainable solutions May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees Reviews, evaluates, approves, and provides recommendations for facility improvements, space assignments, and proposals utilizing best practices and established policies and procedures Assists with developing operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, best practices, and unit objectives Serves as the unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups providing organizational information to ensure timely and safe transitioning of major construction or remodeling projects* Schedules logistics and secures resources to resolve facility issues, recommending alternatives where necessary## Department:Facilities ManagementCompensation:$54,000-$60,000 annually## *Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Sustainability or related field* Minimum three years of experience working on sustainable projects or initiatives Minimum two years of project management experience* Demonstrated strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software programs and platforms## *Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Workday or similar ERP systems* Experience with space planning Experience working in higher education or public sector environments* Grant writing experience## ## **Education:**Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Sustainability or related field## ## How to Apply:To apply, click the Apply button at the top of this page.
