Job Duties:

The Department of Business Administration in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in Sustainable Management.

The Cofrin School of Business prioritizes teaching excellence, a commitment to learner success, quality scholarship, engagement with the regional business community, and dedication to collaboration, institutional, community, and professional service. Professional working experience in the world of business is viewed favorably. The successful applicant will contribute to a university, school, and academic unit with growing enrollment, a strong commitment to sustainability, and extensive regional business connections. Applicants will be encouraged to engage with sustainability aligned campus centers and initiatives, such as the ongoing efforts to secure a NOAA National Estuarine Research Reserve for Green Bay, the Wisconsin Freshwater Collaborative, the Environmental Management and Business Institute, and the Cofrin Center for Biodiversity. The Cofrin School of Business has adopted a societal impact goal to prepare northeastern Wisconsin to sustainably leverage its vast freshwater resource for the economic and social benefit of the region.

This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay's mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.

Key Job Responsibilities:Mentor students in the "transcripts to resumes" program Teach a variety of undergraduate and/or graduate courses related to sustainable business practices, which may include but is not limited to Principles of Sustainability in Business, Sustainable Management, Sustainability in Supply Chains, or Leading Sustainable Organizations. Contribute to ongoing program development within the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank, including developing a strong research program involving collaboration with faculty and students Build partnerships with industry, government, and nonprofit organizations to advance sustainable business practices Participate fully in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business' AACSB accreditation efforts, including societal impact goals aligned with sustainability Perform institutional and community service Department:

Compensation:

Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Required Qualifications:Earned doctorate in sustainable management, environmental management, management, or closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution. Candidates who have not completed their doctorate by the start date will be hired into a terminal appointment at the rank of Instructor with a rate determined at the time of hire. Upon degree conferral, the title will change to Assistant Professor. The contract will not be renewed if the degree is not conferred by the end of the terminal appointment. Ongoing record of scholarship, including peer-reviewed journal publications, consistent with the level of experience. Ability to teach a variety of foundational business courses. Evidence of a commitment to quality teaching. Evidence of engagement in institutional, community, and professional endeavors. Conditions of Appointment:

Cofrin School of Business courses are offered primarily during standard business hours, with limited courses offered in the evening or on Saturdays. Courses will be taught both face-to-face and online (in asynchronous and synchronous formats). The specific courses taught may vary from semester to semester.

The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to teach a course or work at the Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs.

Position is an academic year, tenure-track appointment. Applicants must be considered for tenure and promotion in six years, although tenure decisions may be at any time. Promotion from Assistant to Associate Professor is simultaneous with tenure. Excellence in teaching, sustained scholarly activity, and institutional service required for retention and promotion. A pre-employment education check which includes, but is not limited to, the verification of academic credentials will be conducted on the finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s).
