Landscape Architect & Sustainability Lead

Role Overview


CWA Homes is seeking a creative and technically capable Landscape Architect & Sustainability Lead to support hospitality, residential and mixeduse projects. The role combines landscape design, public realm, climate-responsive planning, sustainability coordination and project delivery. The successful candidate will work from concept through construction and help establish consistent landscape and sustainability standards across the CWA Homes portfolio.


Key Responsibilities


Develop landscape concepts, masterplans and public realm strategies.


Design hotel arrival areas, courtyards, gardens, terraces, roof gardens and leisure spaces.


Prepare hard and soft landscape drawings, planting plans, details, schedules and specifications.


Develop climate-appropriate, low-maintenance planting strategies.


Coordinate paving, lighting, signage, irrigation, drainage and external furniture.


Support passive design, solar integration, rainwater harvesting and heat-island reduction. Promote water, energy and material efficiency across projects.


Coordinate sustainability requirements with architects, engineers, consultants and contractors.


Support EDGE and other environmental certification submissions.


Review contractor drawings, samples and site installations.


Attend design meetings, site inspections, snagging and handover.


Develop CWA Homes landscape and sustainability standards, templates and checklists.


Essential Skills and Experience


Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.


Experience delivering landscape projects from concept through construction.


Strong knowledge of hard and soft landscape design.


Experience preparing technical drawings, planting plans and specifications.


Good understanding of climate-responsive and sustainable design.


Ability to coordinate within a multidisciplinary team.


Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant presentation software.


Strong design, communication and organisational skills.


Desirable Experience


Hospitality, resort, residential or mixed-use project experience.


Experience working in Nigeria, West Africa or a comparable climate.


Knowledge of tropical and drought-resilient planting.


Experience with roof gardens, swimming pools and public realm.


Knowledge of EDGE, BREEAM, LEED or similar frameworks.


EDGE certification or experience is advantageous.


Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers and specialist consultants.
