Job Description

CleanTech Global Renewables, Inc. is seeking a Land Acquisition Specialist in Cavite, Philippines. The role involves obtaining land for renewable energy projects, coordinating with various teams, negotiating contracts, and maintaining relationships with landowners. Candidates should have a relevant degree, strong communication skills, and 1-3 years of experience in land acquisition or related fields. The position requires travel to project sites.
Role Overview:
As a
Land Acquisition Specialist
, you will help the Company obtain land for new renewable energy (RE) project development, as well as administer the land after it has been purchased or leased. You will coordinate with the Legal, Engineering, and Project Development Teams to ensure that the solar and wind farms are built on time and within budget.
You must be able to communicate CTGRI’s position clearly and effectively, as well as be able to explain the basics of renewable energy, lease term options and other information in a way that different groups of people will understand.


You will be responsible for the following tasks:



Design and implement land acquisition strategies and plans for new RE development sites.
Work on behalf of the company to arrange for land leases and purchases.
Work closely with landowners, local governments, and other stakeholders to gain support for proposed RE projects.
Work with the Legal, Engineering, Project & Business Development Teams to determine whether sites are suitable for RE development and to lead the process of purchasing or leasing the land.
Provide contiguous land options and leases.
Travel to the project area to research landowner information, as well as to inspect, appraise and assess properties.
Coordinate meetings with participating landowners.
Negotiate the terms of a contract with a landowner, and obtain executed leases or contracts.
Establish landowner relationships as the lease or land purchase is executed and maintain these relationships through construction.
Once the land has been purchased or leased, you will be involved in permitting and may also assist during the permitting process of the full project.
Communicate the status of land transactions clearly and frequently in order to identify and address any issues that may impede the execution of a land lease or contract.
Maintain accurate records of land transactions. Memorandum of agreements, deed requests, and lease documents including tax forms, payment instructions, and trust documents must all be prepared and submitted in a timely manner. Records of land transactions including all project documentation need to be maintained for reference should land disputes or other issues arise.
Give presentations and meet with a wide variety of audiences, including public officials, interest groups, and community members.
Perform other duties and functions as assigned by the Senior Project Managers, the Leadership Team, or by the President & CEO.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Law, Engineering, or related field.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Exposure to government agencies (preferably land-related offices) is an advantage.
1–3 years’ experience in land acquisition, real estate, permitting, or project development preferred
Willing to travel and be assigned to provincial/project site locations.
