GLOBALFOUNDRIES is offering a 2H University Internship in Clean Tech Engineering in Singapore. The internship focuses on optimizing test wafer management and involves mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities. Interns will learn about wafer workflows, project management, and teamwork. Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and are expected to participate in a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship starting June 2026.

Project Title:


Test Wafer Management Cost Optimization Project





Project Objective:


This project aims to identify cost reduction opportunities by evaluating and streamlining test wafer workflow.





Project Description:


Key project milestone:


1) Identify test wafer workflow route


2) Evaluate successfully cross module test wafer downgrade workflow


3) Establish and monitor success rate of the new workflow





Project Outcome:


Intern:


1) Learn about test wafer purpose and function in high volume manufacturing fab


2) Learn to set-up test wafer routes


3) Learn about project management, teams works and presentation skills.





Company:


1) Optimize test wafer workflow


2) Establish cross module test wafer downgrade route


3) Eliminate test wafer wastage by optimizing test wafer test workflow before send to recycle/reclaim





Required Qualifications:



Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering OR any related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship


Willingness to learn





This application is for students undertaking a 20-24 week credit-bearing internship from June 2026 onwards.
