Job Description
SPECTRAFORCE is hiring a part-time Laboratory Technician in Irvine, CA for a 12-month position. The role involves sanitizing manufacturing tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with microbiology and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include cleaning, autoclaving, and maintaining detailed records. Candidates should have basic computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team. Previous experience in GMP or clean room environments is preferred.
Job Title:- Sanitization Processor / Lab Technician
Location:- Irvine, CA, 92614
Duration:- 12 Months (Part Time)
Shift : 9am-1pm - M-F
Summary:
The main function of a sanitization processor is to ensures bioburden reduction of all manufacturing aids, tools, and equipment in keeping with Microbiology, Regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare tools received from HVT isolation and final assembly - including washing, cleaning, and wrapping - for sanitization, per department procedures or Engineering requests
• Load tools and manufacturing aids in the appropriate autoclave and/or oven per specified diagrammed instructions, and initiate equipment cycle for sanitization, per department procedures or Engineering requests
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records
• On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period
• Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping and photocopying cycle charts
Additional Skills:
• Full understanding of load configurations and autoclave operations for autoclaves used for sanitization of tooling and supplies
Basic computer skills required:
• Ability to read, comprehend and speak English, along with good communication skills including giving and receiving feedback
• Knowledge of and adherence to Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines, as well as Microbiology standards, as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing
• Strict attention to detail and ability to comply with standards
• Must be able to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision by following detailed manufacturing instructions
• Work in a Team environment, primarily work within immediate work unit and with other departments as requested
Education and Experience:
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent Previous GMP, clean room, medical device experience preferred
• 0-2 years of experience required
