WM is seeking a Finance Audit Analyst in India to support the Internal Audit and Controls department. The role involves conducting financial audits, managing audit projects, ensuring SOX compliance, and driving process improvements. Candidates should have a B.com, M.com, or MBA in finance with 1-2 years of experience. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential. Role Overview:
This position offers a unique opportunity to be a part of a world-class international team environment at WM. You will play a crucial role in contributing to the Internal Audit and Controls department's strategic initiatives by focusing on continuous improvement, cost savings, and enhancing the control environment. You will collaborate with counterparts in the US, particularly at WMs headquarters in Houston, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting financial and operational audits across various business components, departments, and operations to enhance operational efficiency, cost control, and compliance.
- Help in planning, coordinating, and communicating audit activities, including managing individual audit projects.
- Support oversight of the SOX compliance program and maintain internal control documentation and testing databases.
- Collaborate with process owners to ensure compliance with the SOX program, including testing key controls and developing remediation plans.
- Work closely with corporate and HQ teams for reporting and adhoc requirements.
- Drive automation, process improvement, and productivity through effective data analytics techniques.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to advance Internal Audit and Controls strategic initiatives.
- Prepare work papers and reports, draft presentations for management, and support cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.
- Provide guidance to less experienced auditors and conduct quality control reviews.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and project management skills.
Qualifications Required:
- Education: B.com, M.com, MBA in finance
- Work Experience: 1-2 years
- Preferred Experience: Internal or external audit experience, knowledge of basic accounting and financial statements, experience working with international teams, experience in a Shared Services environment
- Additional Qualifications: Strong attention to detail, critical thinker, collaborative, accountable, intellectually curious, partnership-oriented, analytical
