About The Role
Zenith Energy is seeking to expand its maintenance team by hiring a qualified Electrician as an Electrical Service Technician (Renewables & Thermal).
This position will report directly to the Electrical Coordinator. It will be responsible for the maintenance and fault diagnosis of thermal systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and solar energy installations.
The successful candidate will contribute to the operation of thermal and renewable equipment, fine-tune control systems, assist area managers with reports, and provide input for maintenance documentation related to both renewable and thermal power generation.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Advanced fault diagnosis and operability advice for thermal, BESS, Inverter & Solar generation.
• Advanced fault diagnosis/troubleshooting and analysis of power generation equipment and associated ancillary equipment
• Assist with operational readiness.
• Assist Asset Management with SWIs and operation manual development.
• Assist inventory in building and maintaining renewable & thermal critical spares.
• Prepare clear and concise documentation, including system requirements, design specifications, test plans, and technical reports
• Occasional travel to site and ability to mobilise at short notice.
About You:
As an Electrical Service Technician (Renewables & Thermal), you should possess the following experience, knowledge, and skills for the role:
• A valid WA Electrical License
• At least 2 years of post-trade experience, preferably in a field service capacity
• Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar, inverters, and wind technologies (desirable)
• Strong report-writing skills
• Proficiency in computer usage
• Professional communication skills for interacting with clients
• Competence in using Pronto CMMS or similar systems (desirable)
• HV switching certification, supervised gas fitter qualifications, and EEHA training would be advantageous.
