Arcadis India Pvt Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Water Sector, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The role involves designing electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior staff. Candidates should have 3-7 years of experience in the UK Water Sector and familiarity with relevant standards. Proficiency in software like Trimble Amtech and Dialux Pro is required.

Job Title: Engineer – Electrical, Water (UK) Locations: We are now recruiting talented individuals in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Noida &
Hyderabad to fill our current vacancy for Engineer- Electrical, UK Water, to work on our projects in UK.
Role accountabilities: Design &
Engineering: Good understanding &Working knowledge of various water and wastewater treatment process and related engineering works - Pumping Stations, waste / water treatment works, etc. Prepare electrical designs such as load schedules, equipment sizing, and overall power distribution diagrams. Perform lighting design calculations using Dialux Pro and support detailed lighting layouts. Carryout cable sizing calculations using Trimble Amtech and perform tray/duct sizing while guiding technicians.
Prepare
Telemetry schedule for the Water &
Waster water treatment works and Telemetry assessment reports. Produce electrical designs including lightning protection design using Furse software & requirements. Preferable knowledge to conduct power system studies using ETAP. Produce calculations, reports, specifications, drawings, and design packages. Use practical knowledge to design Equipment Layouts and trench/tray layouts, guiding technicians and ensuring quality. Support global teams in delivering water/wastewater projects. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Engineers, to ensure integrated design solutions. Prepare and review of specifications, data sheets and technical documentation. Provide technical direction in project delivery, ensuring alignment with industry standards and client requirements. Maintain compliance with Arcadis’ Business Management System and Health &Safety standards. Offer alternative solutions and guide the junior’s technical decision-making processes. Knowledge on current UK design standards, working practices and national guidance. Ensuring contractors designs comply with the latest client specifications and other relevant industry specifications (Wimes, IET wiring regulations etc.) and legislations.
Team Collaboration: Mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and effective task delegation. Engage in global activities, leading collaborative efforts Software &
Tools: Trimble Amtech and Dialux Pro proficiency.
Experience in Furse Lightning Risk assessment software Preferred experience in ETAP Experience with AutoCAD, AutoDesk, Revit is advantageous. Basic knowledge of BIM/ACC tools Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
Qualifications &
Experience
B.E./B. Tech from a recognized University.3-7 years’ experience. Relevant experience in UK Water Sector. Familiar with WIMES, BS and other International standards and practices. A strong, self-motivated and assertive person capable of working under pressure. Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels Flexible to adopt new work /challenge work as per business requirement. Why Arcadis?
