Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of solar PV systems. The role includes conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring system uptime, and maintaining safety and quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
A. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance of solar PV systems.
Inspect solar panels, inverters, electrical equipment, and mounting structures regularly.
Identify faults and carry out necessary repairs to minimize system downtime.
Ensure optimum system performance through timely maintenance activities.
B. Inspection & Troubleshooting
Conduct periodic inspections of solar plants and identify technical issues.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in solar PV systems.
Troubleshoot inverter, DC/AC wiring, and other system-related issues.
Replace or repair defective components as required.
C. Performance Monitoring
Monitor daily system performance and energy generation.
Analyze system data to identify performance deviations.
Recommend corrective actions to improve plant efficiency.
Maintain system uptime as per company standards.
D. Site Safety & Compliance
Follow company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
Ensure proper use of PPE while carrying out maintenance work.
Maintain compliance with electrical safety standards and industry regulations.
Report unsafe conditions and implement corrective measures.
E. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain maintenance logs, service reports, and inspection records.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
Record equipment history and maintenance schedules.
Update maintenance records in the ERP or company database.
F. Customer & Team Coordination
Coordinate with clients regarding maintenance schedules and service activities.
Work closely with project, installation, and technical support teams.
Respond promptly to service requests and emergency breakdowns.
Provide technical guidance to junior technicians when required.
G. Additional Responsibilities
Conduct site visits for maintenance and inspection as assigned.
Ensure proper housekeeping of the work area after maintenance activities.
Support warranty claim processes for faulty equipment, if applicable.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Management from time to time.
Required Qualifications:
Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of solar PV systems and electrical maintenance.
Understanding of inverters, AC/DC systems, earthing, and protection devices.
Ability to use electrical testing instruments such as a multimeter, clamp meter, and insulation tester.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of MS Office and report preparation.
Willingness to travel to project sites and work in field environments.
Preferred Experience
Fresher or 1–3 years of experience in solar O&M, electrical maintenance, or field service.
Experience in rooftop or ground-mounted solar power plants is preferred.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
