• *Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Ecological Restoration Project Manager to oversee prescribed burning operations and ecological restoration projects. This key role requires a deep understanding of ecological principles, native plant species, and vegetation management techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
• Project Planning: Develop and implement project plans for prescribed burns and ecological restoration activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Crew Supervision: Lead and supervise burn crews during fire operations, emphasizing safety protocols and effective communication.
• Site Assessment: Conduct pre-burn site assessments, including risk identification, resource evaluation, and fire behavior consideration.
• Client Communication: Collaborate with clients, landowners, and regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals for prescribed burns and ecological restoration activities.
• Maintenance and Inspection: Maintain and inspect equipment used in prescribed fire operations, ensuring proper functionality.
• Documentation: Document burn activities, including post-burn evaluations and compliance with fire management plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years' experience in prescribed fire operations and ecological restoration.
• Certified as a Minnesota Burn Boss Type 2 (or equivalent) or higher.
• Possess, or obtain within 3 months of hire, qualifications as Wildland Firefighter Type 2 (FFT2).
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and train burn crews.
• Valid driver's license and CDL preferred.
