Position Description:
As the Business Unit (BU) Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager, you will lead our EH&S program. You will partner with BU leadership and staff to ensure adherence to company EH&S policies and create a culture of safety within the organization.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

Build strong working relationships with Business Unit leadership to facilitate cultural changes in EH&S.Implement and enforce EH&S policies and procedures in compliance with BU and company standards.Identify and mitigate hazardous conditions in the workplace following safety best practices and EH&S policies.Inspire project teams to embrace cultural changes and improve safety through the execution of a comprehensive EH&S program.Collaborate with the Operations Manager to set BU goals and proactive programs aimed at reducing incidents and related costs.Develop and execute an Annual EH&S Plan aligned with corporate requirements, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.Conduct audits and analyze safety metrics, reporting findings to HQ EH&S and BU leadership.Foster relationships with OSHA, EPA, and regulatory agencies to promote safety initiatives and manage compliance.Stay abreast of industry laws and regulations, sharing relevant updates with stakeholders.Evaluate EH&S knowledge, recommend specific training activities, and ensure competency within the team.Mentor EH&S professionals and create an inclusive atmosphere for learning and communication.Support project EH&S recruitment and training in collaboration with BU leadership and local HR, ensuring a steady pipeline of talent.Engage in local and regional industry organizations to represent Turner as a leader in EH&S.Manage the BU EH&S budget in collaboration with the Operations Manager.Review business and subcontract agreements to ensure EH&S considerations are adequately addressed.Assess contractors through the Subcontractor Approval Request process to assist in risk mitigation.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 10 years of relevant construction safety experience.Current Construction Health Safety Technician (CHST) certification or agreement to obtain within 6 months.Completed OSHA 30-hour training and maintain First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications.Expert knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety regulations at all levels.Proficient in safety and environmental principles with a proven track record in incident management.Management experience with a strong ability to lead and delegate tasks effectively.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with effective presentation capabilities.Ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic environment.Confident use of Microsoft Office and EH&S applications.Travel is required, with reliable transportation needed.Physical Demands:

Employees typically work in construction sites with exposure to mechanical components, outdoor elements, and potential hazards. Noise levels vary between moderate to loud onsite, while office settings remain relatively quiet.
