Building Environmental Supervisor

The Building Environmental Supervisor at UNC Charlotte oversees the Building Services unit, managing personnel and ensuring quality cleaning standards. This full-time position requires supervising 12-15 employees and providing excellent customer service during the standard workweek and weekends as needed. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 5:00 am – 2:00 pm, and applicants must be current UNC Charlotte permanent employees.
Primary Purpose Of Position
This position is the Building Environmental Services Supervisor for Team 6, responsible for directing and overseeing personnel and procedures of all shifts of the Building Services unit during the standard Monday Friday workweek and on the weekend as building and programmatic needs dictate. The supervisor must ensure excellent customer service and accurate set ups, personnel management, and APPA Level II quality cleaning while adhering to LEED Silver and GS 42, green cleaning standards. This position manages the Building Services unit and directly supervises 12 15 Building Services employees working on two separate crews.

Work Schedule
5:00 am – 2:00 pm; Monday – Friday This position is designated as ‘mandatory’ and, when contacted to report to work, its incumbent is expected to reach the campus as expeditiously as possible using normal precautions as dictated by the adverse weather conditions.
