The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has an exciting opportunity within our Sustainable Operations Team as a Program Specialist 4. In this role you will provide centralized and consistent support in sharing ongoing program directives and helping implement program requirements such as fleet electrification expansion by designing and sharing information on EV charging, how to use DNR owned EV chargers, managing end-user input and serving as the first point of contact for the program. Additionally, this position guides internal staff and/or the public in understanding the purpose, objectives, and/or questions involved with the parameters stated in RCW.70A.45.050.

Duties Responsibilities:
Coordinate ongoing work with internal and external vested parties regarding fleet electrification expansion and emissions reduction efforts. Act as first point of contact for program questions on work related to RCW 70A.45.050, fleet electrification expansion, and support needs. Advise on and provide customer service related to program functions on an agency wide level. Utilize data management tools to compile required reporting data and organize and present in a clear and concise manner. Maintain a clear knowledge and understanding of required reporting requirements, utilize the various reporting tools from external agencies, and submit the required reports as directed. Design and share information on electric vehicles and charging stations, usage, and best practices. Act as the Sustainable Operations Program engagement and compliance liaison by leading engagement with: The Department of Ecology’s Clean Fuels Standards Program. WSDOT and Commerce’s State Agency Fleet EVSE (SAFE) mapping tool. DES’ Energy Star Portfolio Manager Program. Department of Ecology’s Refrigerant Management Program. Department of Commerce’s Clean Buildings Standards Program for DNR administrative facilities. Track Networked EV chargers on web-based portal for usage and proper function. Track program expenditures by maintaining accuracy and tracking and organizing project expenditures to highlight trends and present information to program staff and vested parties. Qualifications Required Qualifications:



Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, law, environmental science, public health or other relevant work-related field;
OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Five (5) years of related professional experience conducting research, analyzing policy, law, rules, and/or regulations, and performing the functions of a Project Leader on projects related to business operations and development. Special Requirements and Conditions of Employment: Work is primarily indoors, but some outdoor work may be required to review site specific activities of the agency.
