Battery Energy Storage Field Technician(CA Licensed Electrician Required)

OPIS Renewables is seeking a Battery Energy Storage Field Technician in California, requiring a CA Licensed Electrician. Responsibilities include overseeing service operations, providing technical support, leading a team, managing customer relations, and ensuring quality assurance. Candidates should have experience with electrical systems, problem-solving skills, and be able to travel extensively. The position is full-time with a pay range of $27.00 - $40.00 per hour and includes various benefits.
• ** Must Be CA Licensed Electrician***

1) Service and Service Management:

a. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service team that working onsite.

b. Collaborate with engineers and project team from customer during the service, commissioning and battery installation process.

c. Conduct inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance activities.

d. Implement corrective actions to address identified problems.

e. Assist the employer in obtaining C10 qualification in California.

2) Technical Expertise:

a. Utilize a deep understanding of technologies and electrical systems to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

b. Provide technical support to field service teams and customers.

3) Team Leadership:

a. Lead, train, and mentor a team of service technicians.

b. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

c. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.

4) Customer Relations:

a. Interact with customers to understand their service needs and address concerns.

b. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction.

5) Project Management:

a. Collaborate with project managers to integrate service requirements into overall project plans.

6) Quality Assurance:

a. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

- High school or diploma degree, with a preference for a background in electrical subjects.

- Relevant experience as a field service technician or in a similar role, with knowledge of medium voltage power systems and energy storage system applications being an advantage.

- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. A forklift operator's license would also be advantageous.

- Proficiency in using electrical tools.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Must be able to travel to regional locations as needed.

- Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, climbing and descending stairs and ladders, and working outdoors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
