Job Description
BluEarth Renewables is seeking an Analyst for Corporate and Project Finance in Calgary, AB. The role requires hands-on finance experience, particularly in power or infrastructure. Key responsibilities include managing financial models, supporting due diligence, loan administration, and maintaining bank accounts. Candidates should have a finance-related degree, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and strong analytical skills. The position is full-time and requires collaboration with various stakeholders.
The Analyst will have demonstrable, hands-on experience in a finance setting (preferably in power or infrastructure) to ensure success. This position will report directly to the Vice President, Finance and will work closely with lenders, consultants, lawyers and other stakeholders. Work is performed in a cross-functional team environment, requiring daily interactions with members of other teams.
Key Functions, Which May Evolve, Include
Financial models: own and manage financial models;
Due diligence and coordination: support managing material project contracts, economic terms, consultant reports and other deliverables;
Loan administration (corporate and project-level debt facilities): Includes reviewing and summarizing agreements, identifying and tracking obligations and deliverables, compiling and sending reporting packages, coordination of debt-related payments and other related tasks, as necessary;
Letters of Credit: Accountable for the issuance, tracking and cancellation of all Letters of Credit;
Data rooms: Creation, population, maintenance and tracking of all data rooms along with coordination of related communications;
Bank accounts: Maintaining the Company’s bank accounts, including liaising with financial institutions and opening/closing bank accounts, as required;
Performing other tasks and duties as required;
Upholding all of BluEarth's values and consistently enhancing the image and reputation of the Company;
Adhering to BluEarth's Health, Safety and Environment program, as well as all company policies & guidelines.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics or other similar fields is considered an asset.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in Renewables, Power or Infrastructure debt capital markets;
Experience building and maintaining Financial Models;
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong data analysis skills; and
Strong understanding of financial and banking processes.
