Job Description

The Sustainability Manager at Washington Penn will lead the Audia sustainability function, implementing and monitoring global sustainability strategies. Responsibilities include developing ESG reporting processes, leading decarbonization projects, collaborating with marketing for sustainability initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role requires a degree in a related field and at least 7 years of experience in sustainability or technical roles, with a focus on continuous improvement and data analytics.
Summary

This position will lead the Audia sustainability function including guiding, implementing, marketing and monitoring Audia's sustainability strategies globally. Responsibilities will include developing reporting processes in preparation for legislative requirements and formalizing processes for ESG data analytics supporting both external customer requests and internal Audia reporting requirements. This position will be, leading decarbonization project activities to ensure the Audia sustainability commitments, working closely with sales and market development engineers to train and leverage sustainability in the marketplace for profitable growth, and working closely with My Green Earth Ranch on Carbon Offset strategy and biodiversity programs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead and continuously improve the Audia global sustainability strategy by identifying risks and opportunities and maintaining continuous drive towards the long-term visionCollaborate with Marketing and My Green Earth Ranch to develop sustainability content and programs to increase brand awarenessCompile data and prepare reports for ESG disclosures. Stay current on global regulations and ensure Audia remains compliant. Examples of applicable regulations are EU CSRD, CA SB253 and SB 261, SECBuild relationships with customers and suppliers to establish credibility and competitive advantage in the marketplaceEngage in developing and fostering an external network of sustainability professionals and staying abreast of new developments in sustainability trendsAct as subject matter expert regarding easement and carbon credit rules, solar panel specifications and implementation and land use impact on our carbon footprintLead carbon footprint reduction initiatives through establishment of KPIs, measurement and leadershipProvide education and training to co-workers focused on the sustainability strategy.Prepare annual Green House Gas emission disclosures for all Audia global locations. Includes scopes 1, 2 and all aspects of scope 3Periodically report market trends, progress, and activity to company Presidents in regards to Sustainable StrategyPrepare product-specific Carbon footprint calculations for external customer requests.Lead ISCC+ and SCS Global Carbon neutrality annual certification processesSource recycled and low carbon raw material streams with procurement and determine potential applications for use with R&D team.Support single stream recycling and other waste reduction initiatives globallyManage team of two ranch managers at the My Green Earth Ranch in Billings MontanaExplore and recommend investment opportunities regarding sustainable solutions
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Chemistry, polymer science, chemical/ mechanical/ plastics engineering, environmental engineering, or other sustainability related degrees and/or roles of equivalent experienceMinimum of 7 years of experience in technical or sustainability roles, preferably in plastics or a material manufacturing industryWorking knowledge of Sustainability trends and experience working in global environment including ESG initiativesDetail oriented, self-motivation, strong data analytic skills, and an understanding of global market trends and evolving ESG legislation required.Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing metrics with proven business results
Working Conditions
Corporate office environment (full time in-office)Occasional time in manufacturing environment including laboratoriesAt least 15% travel to Audia facilities, suppliers, and external customers globally
