Job Description

CLEAResult is hiring an Energy Rating Specialist in Providence, RI, to support residential new construction projects across the state. Responsibilities include energy modeling, field inspections, and ensuring compliance with energy codes. Candidates should have relevant experience or a degree in a related field. To join our Residential New Construction team based in Providence as an Energy Rating Specialist serving all of Rhode Island. You will work with design and construction teams from initial project planning through final construction - performing energy modeling and field inspections through various stages of the construction process to support the delivery of CLEAResult's portfolio of Residential New Construction services including:
HERS RatingsEnergy Code ComplianceEnergy Star HomesDOE Efficient New HomesPassive House

Review construction blueprints and plansGenerate energy modeling using REM-Rate/EKOTROPE softwareVisit sites during constructionCollect site data and perform diagnostic testing, including the use of blower door and duct blasterCollect and produce documentation related to the progress, status, and outcome of each project, and prepare and submit required documents to verify code compliance, green certification, and rebate eligibilitySuccessfully communicate technical concepts to contractors in support of energy efficiency and green specificationsInitiate outreach to potential clients to ensure program enrollment goals are metEnroll clients in the programWork with project teams to establish goals and identify available resources for each projectSupport projects from initial modeling to final construction, and assist project teams with meeting their goals (energy savings, code compliance, green verification)Provide project teams with technical assistance and training to overcome barriers, achieve their goals and secure applicable program incentivesParticipate in ongoing training and education provided by CLEAResult to build a solid technical knowledge of building science, diagnostics testing and the latest industry developments

$64,000 - $66,000 depending on experience.
