Solar Electrical Apprentice – Commercial & Industrial (C&I)

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team in the role of a Solar Electrical Apprentice - Commercial & Industrial (C&I). The role offers a clear advancement path into Electrician, Lead Electrician, and Foreman positions as our C&I portfolio continues to expand.
Responsibilities:
• Assist electricians with installation of commercial rooftop solar PV systems.
• Support installation of conduit, wiring, inverters, disconnects, panels, and monitoring equipment.
• Pull wire, mount equipment, and stage materials as directed by the lead electrician.
• Maintain clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant job sites.
• Follow all safety protocols and proper PPE requirements.
• Load, unload, and transport tools and materials to job sites.
• Support inspections, walkthroughs, and punch list completion.
• Assist with documentation, photo records, and material tracking.
Requirements:
• 0–2 years of electrical or construction experience (solar experience is a plus).
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in electrical or solar construction.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work on roofs, ladders, lifts, and in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Valid driver’s license: statewide travel required.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• NABCEP Certification a strong plus.
Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work depending on project needs.
• Occasional travel to project sites, warehouses, or vendor locations may be required.
