Solar & BESS Technician II

About the position

The AES Operations team is looking for a seasoned Solar Technician with solid troubleshooting experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, and demonstrate the ability to lead, train, and teach other field personnel. The position will be based in the Long Island New York area with regular regional travel to attend to the sites’ needs. The candidate must reside within a radius that covers the area between Albany, NY, and Worcester, MA. Or, willing to relocate within that area before the start date.

Responsibilities

Based out of your home, travel to distributed and utility-scale solar and battery storage facilities in local region to perform preventative & corrective maintenancePerform other technical and administrative duties associated with operating and maintaining a power facilityCoordinate and manage contractors engaged to support maintenance activitiesProvide limited support for commissioning activitiesLead/support warranty claims processes with vendors as needed.Ensure work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements.Perform work independently and in team environmentsRequirements
