The role involves advising on governance, prudential regulation, and risk advisory in banking and insurance sectors. We are currently looking for a Senior Associate / Special Counsel to join our Financial Services practice, based in Melbourne. Working with highly experienced financial services Partner Lucinda McCann you will work on a variety of matters covering:
• Front end advisory work, with an emphasis on governance, prudential regulation and conduct regulation in the banking, superannuation and insurance sectors
• Advising on domestic and off-shore investments for superannuation trustees
• Strategic regulatory engagement and risk advisory, covering regulatory approvals and regulatory response and investigations, enforcement and remediation in the superannuation, insurance and banking sectors
• Board and governance arrangements
• Business establishment and product development including licensing, product distribution and disclosure
• Corporate (fund and other regulated mergers and consolidation)

Requirements
• 5+ years PQE
• Excellent analytical, technical and drafting skills
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
• An interest in working in cross-border matters
• Practice growth and teamwork mindset
