1. JOB PURPOSE
1. Responsible for ensuring waste management equipment and disposal systems are within the prescribed
parameters as consented by the government authorities including state pollution control board
2. Represent plant for all environment related obligations / issue at respective tribunals
3. Responsible of timely compliances / submission of returns related to environment
4. Responsible for creating awareness in employees regarding environment related aspects of factory and its legal
compliances
5. Initiate proposals of utilizing waste generated in the plant for recycle or reuse
6. Ensure collection of various waste samples in the plant through external agencies for analysis and
implementation of corrective actions to control the relevant parameters within the specified limit
7. Actively participate and contribute in the SHEMS and OHSAS Management system activities in the plant
8. Responsible for providing insights on environmental aspects to other BAL plants as and when needed
9. Keep updated upcoming amendments un rules and regulations related to environment aspects
10. Daily monitoring of effluent quality for deciding chemical doses for treatment
11. Procurement of ETP/STP Chemicals required for regular testing
12. Liaison with MPCB and undertake joint vigilance audit with MPCB at STP / ETP/ RO / MEE

4. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications
BE (Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Engineering & Safety or Chemical Engineering) from Premium or renowned institute
Additional Diploma in Safety is preferred
Work Exp
Min: 5 Years
Max: 8 Years
Industry Specification
Preferably from Automobile OEM
Addnl Requirements
Knowledge about the manufacturing of Automobile products
Preferred Vernacular Language:
English/Hindi/Marathi

6. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Role Based - Std Library)
1. To upkeep the waste management equipments and systems (Operation and Maintainence) within the prescribed parameters given in the consent by the government authorities
2. Timely submission of various returns related to environment in the government portals and BAL portals
3. Timely renewal of various consents related to environment
4. Initiate proposals of utilizing waste generated in the plant for recycle or reuse
5. Ensure collection of various waste samples in the plant through external agencies and do the analysis
6. Based on the analysis of the samples, ensure implementation of corrective actions to control the relevant parameters within the specified limit
7. Actively participate and contribute in the SHEMS and OHSAS Management system activities in the plant
