Position Overview
Job Title: Investment Analyst
Location: Sausalito, CA


We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to support all functions of our investment team. This position is for someone inspired by the opportunity to gain experience in renewable energy transactions, financial modeling, investor management, and new investment origination, while working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.


The Analyst will assist the team in all aspects of working with our key partners, including capital providers (equity, tax equity, and debt), project development partners, and external asset management contractors.

Responsibilities:
Build, refine, and stress-test sophisticated project finance models for various transaction structures, including tax equity and debt.Organize and present project data to financial partners serving as a primary point of contact during the due diligence processDevelop high-impact marketing materials to assist in capital raisingSupport broader business objectives and ad-hoc strategic projects as 38 Degrees North continues to scaleCollaborate closely with Development, EPC and Asset Management team members
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree a plus0-3 years of renewable energy and/or finance experience (investment banking, project finance, or private equity is a plus)Demonstrated interest in renewable energy and/or sustainabilityExcellent financial modeling and valuation capabilitiesWorking understanding of tax equity and project finance debt modeling and transactions, as well as renewable energy project development and constructionFamiliarity with due diligence management and counterparty coordinationFast learner and strong willingness to be trained and developedSelf-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountabilityOrganized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basisCommercial awareness and transaction composureAbility to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, and seek out additional responsibilityExcellent verbal, written, power point, and interpersonal communication skillsTeam player, sense of humor, and mission-driven mindset
