Job Description
HKS, Inc. is seeking a Green Building Specialist in Dallas, TX, to lead sustainable design initiatives. Responsibilities include developing strategies for LEED and WELL certifications, collaborating with teams, and managing project workloads. Candidates should have an accredited degree in Architecture or Engineering, at least 8 years of sustainable design experience, and proficiency in various design software. Sustainable Design Expertise:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainable Design Leader to join our team at HKS, Inc. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable design solutions that meet client needs and HKS's objectives. Your expertise in green building practices, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship will help us achieve our goals and contribute to the success of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement strategies for achieving LEED, WELL, and Living Building certifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable design principles into project workflows.
• Manage project workload, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Possess an accredited professional degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, with advanced degrees preferred.
• Have at least 8 years of experience in sustainable design, with a strong background in green building practices and energy efficiency.
• Demonstrate expertise in design software applications such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Radiance, DIVA, REVIT, AutoCAD, Sketchup, IES VE, Sefaira, Insight360, Energy Plus, and EnergyPro.
• Show proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to sustainable design and green building.
• Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
