Forestry Company is seeking a Forester for their South Region Land Management team based in Westerville, OH. Position: Forester (FLS) Location: Westerville OverviewWe’re looking for a Forester to join our South Region Land Management delivery team. You’ll be based in Straiton, South Ayrshire.Our Land Management teams care for Scotland’s national forests and land, delivering large-scale forestry programmes including timber production, restocking and woodland creation, while supporting biodiversity, conservation and recreation. The South Region spans a diverse landscape across southern Scotland, delivering outcomes that support climate change mitigation, sustainable land use and thriving local communities.ResponsibilitiesPlan and manage programmes of work including restocking, forest maintenance and woodland creation.Oversee the delivery of operational work by contractors and teams; manage budgets and ensure health, safety and wellbeing standards are met.Contribute to the maintenance of recreational facilities and trails; work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, sustainable outcomes across the area.Qualifications and experienceExperience in forestry or a related land management field; ability to plan and prioritise work effectively, both independently and in a team.Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach; confidence using IT systems.Motivation to develop skills and knowledge, with either a relevant forestry qualification (or working towards one) or equivalent transferable experience.Experience in forestry operations, contract management or health and safety is desirable; a passion for environmental outcomes and tackling climate change.#J-18808-Ljbffr
