Field Service Technician, Solar and Battery Storage

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support solar and battery storage systems across multiple field locations. In this role, you will travel regularly to manage work requests, perform equipment inspections, and execute maintenance with minimal oversight in a fast-paced, startup environment. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of solar panels, battery storage systems, and related equipment. You have strong technical judgment, a high standard for quality, and the ability to prioritize and execute across multiple tasks.

Responsibilities will include:

Troubleshoot and repair solar and battery storage systems, including electrical and mechanical componentsPerform routine maintenance and inspections of solar panels, inverters, and battery storage unitsOperate specialized tools and equipment for solar and battery system installations and repairsManage field-based projects and oversee contractors and third-party workCreate and implement standard work instructions (SWIs) for field service tasksComplete daily task lists and respond to field service work requestsAddress general electro-mechanical issues related to solar and battery systemsWork cross-functionally with operations teams to support growth and continuous improvement goalsDesired Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair, preferably in solar or battery storage systemsStrong background in electrical systems and mechanical maintenanceAbility to troubleshoot and repair at a high level with a self-motivated, hands-on mindsetPhysical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring bending and liftingProficiency in maintaining and using tools and equipment necessary for field service dutiesA passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., bend, lift, and walk up and down stairs carrying weightEssential physical requirements include climbing, standing, stooping, and using specialized toolsWorking Conditions:

Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field locations; frequent travel requiredWork in both indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather, noise, temperature extremesAvailability to work weekends, nights, or on- call as needed
