JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities Maintenance Worker performs maintenance and repairs related to buildings, grounds and equipment of Envari Energy Solutions Inc.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitors and carries out preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for buildings, equipment and grounds.
• Ensures building and equipment meet all safety, security and fire regulations and policies through the following duties:
• Operation and Maintenance of heating and cooling systems, emergency generators/emergency power systems
• Operation and Maintenance of water systems including water treatment and water testing on, such as:
• chilled/heating water systems
• open and closed loop
• glycol system
• potable water
• rain harvesting system
• Wastewater systems troubleshooting and repair, such as:
• lift stations
• Septic
• holding tank
• Interceptors
• grey water system
• Preparing repair work cost estimates and reports for management
• Operate and bypass fire panels during maintenance, construction or an emergency situation
• Regularly maintain building systems and equipment
• Inspect and maintain the security system operation, building automation systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/civil/electrical facilities problems as they arise
• Work with and monitor on-site performance of service contractors
• Assess and recommend maintenance programs for various facilities and equipment
• Assess and monitor contractor performance, making recommendations to management
• Requests and facilitates estimates of labor and material costs, contact external contractors and tradespeople to obtain quotes and make arrangements for repairs and maintenance work
• Interact with facility users, addressing environmental, janitorial, and furniture repair/relocation issues
• Update records of equipment maintenance into (FMS) Facilities Management System
• Carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical, plumbing maintenance and repairs as required
• Set up, move, repair and maintain furniture systems and attachments
• Assist in the organization and operation of special events for Hydro Ottawa
• Site inspections for all Hydro Ottawa facilities
• Small equipment and tool maintenance
• Install and maintain infrastructure for data and communication systems such as cables, conduits, jacks, etc.
• Support the direction and monitoring of summer student work assignments
• Support Tenant maintenance requests as required
• Perform other duties as may be assigned such as turning security alarms on and off and maintain alarm system
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Post-Secondary Education, preferably in a related field, such as heating, refrigeration and air conditioning; building automation systems operation, building environmental operation
• Several years of experience combined with training may substitute for academic qualifications
• Minimum 5 years' experience operating commercial buildings and building systems including knowledge of related legislation
• Minimum 5 years' experience with the safe operation and maintenance of medium and large chiller and heating plant systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of TSSA standards and regulations i.e. Pressure Vessels Act etc.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with the use and maintenance of Building Automation System (BAS), reading and interpreting facility-related drawings and blueprints
• Experience with the operation and maintenance of LEED Certified Facilities
• Experience with the use of access control software, lighting control software, sound masking software and CCTV software
• Red Seal trades training in at least one area of civil, mechanical or electrical maintenance considered an asset
• CPR/First Aid Certification considered an asset
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• English essential, both oral and written
• Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.
• Valid Driver's License - Class G
This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Pay Range Maximum:$60.00
