Executive - Rail Traffic Controller

SBS Transit Limited is hiring an Executive - Rail Traffic Controller in Singapore. The role involves ensuring train service punctuality, addressing equipment faults, managing track access, maintaining safety, conducting risk assessments, improving operational procedures, and mentoring staff. Candidates should have a degree or diploma with at least 5 years of experience, be willing to work shifts, and possess the ability to operate computer-based control systems.
Major Responsibilities:
• Service Operations
- Ensure punctual train services and make adjustments to meet customer needs.
- Report and address equipment faults, coordinating with relevant staff for quick recovery.
- Manage track access and work possessions according to rules and procedures during traffic and non-traffic hours.
• Safety and Compliance
- Maintain a safe environment for customers, staff, and contractors.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.
- Enforce transit rules and report non-compliance.
• Procedures and Improvements
- Review, develop, and improve procedures, manuals, and local instructions.
- Provide feedback on train timetables and develop new ones when required.
• Staff Training and Mentoring
- Mentor and train new staff during on-the-job training at the Operations Control Centre.

Perform other duties as directed by his/ her superiors.

Requirements:
• Degree in any discipline or Diploma with minimum 5 years' working experience, preferably in an Operations Control Room environment
• Willing to perform shift work, including night shift, weekends and Public Holidays
• Able to identify colours
• Able to operate computer-based control systems
