Environmental Technician | EVS Department

The Environmental Technician at Tamarack Health in Hayward, WI, is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the healthcare facility. Duties include cleaning various surfaces, using appropriate chemicals, and observing safety precautions. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably experience in commercial cleaning. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and requires effective communication skills.
The Environmental Service Technician is a member of the healthcare team, working under the direct supervision of the Environmental Services Department Manager. Responsible for maintaining a hygienic, safe and attractive environment for patients, residents, tenants, visitors and staff.
• Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental services department
• As an EVS Tech you will perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors, carpets, tile, concrete and brick flooring throughout the facility.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals, supplies and cleaning techniques according to procedure and manufacturer's recommendations.
• Observes safety precautions at all times. Uses safety signs, Wet Floor and ropes off sections of floor for cleaning where appropriate.
• Transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
• Ability to work on his/her own with normal supervision.

Requirements

Preferred High School Graduate or equivalent.

Previous experience in a commercial cleaning environment is preferred.

Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Must be a team player.
