EnviroTrac Ltd is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Project Manager in Sioux Falls, SD. This full-time role requires 2-4 years of environmental consulting experience. Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 2-4 years (Environmental Consulting) Travel: Regional, as needed within SD and ND Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually (DOE) About the Role: The Environmental Scientist / Project Manager plays a critical role in leading and executing environmental projects that ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote sustainable practices. This position involves conducting thorough environmental assessments, analyzing data, and developing strategies to mitigate environmental impact across various projects. The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and client communications to deliver high-quality outcomes. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure projects meet all scientific and legal requirements. Ultimately, this role drives the integration of scientific expertise with project management skills to support environmental stewardship and business objectives within the professional, scientific, and technical services industry in the United States. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport environmental projects from initiation through closeout under senior PM oversightCoordinate schedules, task tracking, and budgets for small to mid-sized projectsAssist with regulatory compliance activities, including:SPCC, FRP, and SWPPP supportOGI and leak detection program assistanceAir permitting and Title V support tasksSARA Title III / Tier II reporting assistanceNPDES permit coordination and compliance trackingSupport PHMSA-related documentation and compliance coordinationAssist with wetland delineations and environmental field documentation under senior staff directionCoordinate and support field activities related to site assessments, remediation, inspections, and monitoringPrepare draft technical reports, plans, and regulatory submittalsInterface with clients and regulatory agencies in a supporting capacityTrack project progress, documentation status, and change requestsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field2-4 years of experience supporting or managing environmental consulting projectsExperience assisting with regulatory compliance or environmental permitting activitiesFamiliarity with air, water, spill prevention, and reporting programsStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting SPCC, FRP, SWPPP, NPDES, air permitting, or Tier II reportingExposure to OGI monitoring or PHMSA-related documentationField experience supporting environmental assessments or wetland delineationsEqual Employment Opportunity, ADA, & Employment ConditionsEnviro Trac LLC and its affiliated companies, including Earth Systems LLC, are Equal Opportunity Employers.
