Role Description

The Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist will oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance at PetSmart’s facility in La Puente, CA. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for implementing and monitoring safety programs, conducting audits, and ensuring alignment with regulatory compliance standards. The specialist will lead safety training sessions for employees, identify potential hazards, and drive initiatives to promote a safe and healthy working environment.

Expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health practicesStrong knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and standardsExperience in Workplace Safety and identifying operational hazardsProficiency in developing and delivering Safety Training programsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levelsBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field (preferred)Certifications in EHS or OSHA compliance (preferred)Experience in a retail, distribution, or warehouse environment is a plus
