Electrical/Energy Engineer- Renewable Energy Industry

Hire Resolve is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer in Johannesburg to lead and manage renewable energy projects, conduct site assessments, design systems, and ensure compliance with regulations. Candidates should have a degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields, 10-15 years of experience, and proficiency in design software. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. The role is full-time and based in Johannesburg.
Hire Resolve’s client in the Renewable Energy industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage renewable energy projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for renewable energy installations.
• Design and engineer renewable energy systems, including solar PV, wind, and hydro.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues that arise.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• 10 – 15 years’ experience in renewable energy project management or engineering.
• Proficiency in renewable energy system design software (e.g., PVsyst, WindPRO).
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional certification or licensure in renewable energy engineering (e.g., PEng, RE).
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations for renewable energy projects.
• Must be able to use Outlook/Email, Shared Drive, Google Chrome, Excel, and Word.
• Preferential: Driver’s license and driving experience.
• Based in Johannesburg.
• Meticulous recording of information, filing, and paperwork.
• Must be self-driven and highly motivated to achieve results and continuously improve skills and learning.
