Staff Engineer (P2)

We currently have an opportunity for a Staff Engineer (P2) to join our Champaign, IL office at 125 W. Church St., Champaign, IL 61820.

Primary Responsibilities

Contribute to the planning and design of transportation projects (e.g., traffic, pavement, signals and lighting, structures, storm systems, drainage, watermain transmission, and sanitary systems) for a variety of state and local agencies in Illinois.Perform design tasks for a variety of transportation improvement projects.Calculate quantities using Bentley’s Open Roads Designer and Excel and develop cost estimates.Develop Maintenance of Traffic and culvert/storm sewer hydraulic design calculations.Develop alignment/grade, drainage systems plans, and roadway plans in Open Roads Designer.Learn and apply the IDOT Design Manual and AASHTO standards to complete tasks.Assist with field data collection and construction inspection/documentation as needed.Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering.2 years of experience with roadway and/or drainage design for transportation projects.2 years of experience writing design memos or reports.2 years of experience working as a part of a team to meet engineering project deadlines and budgets.2 years of experience working with Bentley Open Roads Designer, Microstation, or GeoPak.2 years of experience with MS Office.1 year of experience working with IDOT standards.Passage of NCEES FE Civil exam.Hybrid work schedule involving onsite work at our location in Champaign, IL and telecommuting may be permitted per company policy. #J-18808-Ljbffr
