Overview:
We currently have an opportunity in our Los Angeles, California office for an entry-level civil/environmental engineer. Our growing backlog of work creates an opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects that contribute to the development of solutions addressing California water issues.





Responsibilities:

Under the direction of Project Managers, you will be responsible for assigned project activities through application of engineering principles and assisting in the completion of reports, plans, specifications, and other technical project work. Your assignments could span any of our service areas allowing you to gain experience in the following:
Water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure design
Recycled water planning and design
Planning support, including preparation of permit and funding applications
Support studies and designs associated with groundwater production wells, injection wells, and recharge basins
Instrumentation & controls investigation, implementation, and design
Preparation of technical memoranda, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
Assisting with submittal reviews, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders as part of engineering services during construction projects.
Effective communication and coordination with project managers and other project team members, including other disciplines (electrical, structural, drafters, etc.).




Professional Development:

On the job training and mentoring so that you are continually learning directly from project work
Internal brown bags to foster knowledge transfer
External trainings and seminars on specific technical topics
Professional association membership to support personal goals and market development




Qualifications:

Degree: BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field; MS is preferred. EIT is desirable
Experience: Typical experience range is 0 to 3 years for entry-level positions. No professional experience is necessary, but internships or previous relevant experience is desirable
Skills: Good technical writing and communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts
Software: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, Bluebeam)
Preferred Software: Experience using AutoCAD and ArcGIS is preferred
Fieldwork: Ability to support occasional out-of-office fieldwork activities at various facilities including construction sites, water conveyance/treatment plants, and laboratories is preferred

Pay:
This position's anticipated pay range is $65,000 - $79,524 a year. Final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials are used to recognize and reflect cost of labor differences between geographic markets.





Annual Incentive Bonus Opportunity:
Eligible positions may receive an annual cash bonus based on the role's organizational level, and is represented as a percentage range of eligible earnings.
