Job Description

The Opportunity

As one of five Directors within the function, you will lead and develop a team of specialist credit professionals, ensuring the highest standards of technical assessment, decision‑making, and portfolio oversight. This role carries delegated lending discretion and offers significant visibility across senior management, origination teams, product partners, and external stakeholders.



Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of Infrastructure & Project Finance credit specialists, guiding their technical and professional development.Shape and influence structured credit proposals, working closely with asset managers, relationship teams and deal originators.Oversee independent credit assessments across new transactions, refinancings, restructurings and annual reviews, ensuring rigorous analysis of financial, technical and market risks.Monitor portfolio exposures and proactively identify changes to risk profile, escalating where appropriate.Ensure all transactions comply with internal credit policy and relevant regulatory frameworks.Guide sector research, ensuring credit decisions incorporate robust external insights and scenario/sensitivity analysis.Lead periodic sector reviews and contribute to policy development.Promote a culture of sound judgement, innovation, and continuous improvement across the team.
The Successful Applicant

What You Bring

Significant credit risk and sanctioning experience within the infrastructure and project finance sectors, including renewables.Strong understanding of structured finance modelling, due diligence processes, and asset‑class specifics across UK/US markets.Clear, confident decision‑making ability and strong communication skills, with the credibility to challengeAbility to manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality output under time pressure.A collaborative mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and passion for supporting the energy transition and infrastructure investment.
