Job Description

Saahas Zero Waste is seeking a Consultant - Environmental in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The role involves business development, managing a team of waste management consultants, overseeing project execution, and maintaining client relationships. The consultant will also provide technical expertise and manage the budget for the consultancy division. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental engineering/science is preferred. This is a full-time position with standard benefits.
Responsibilities And Duties

Business Development :

∙ Drive business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new clients, projects, and partnerships.

∙ Review of tender documents, grant documents and preparation of technical and financial proposals in

a time-bound manner.

∙ Develop and nurture relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business and referrals.

∙ Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring revenue targets are met or exceeded.

Team Management

∙ Manage a team of waste management consultants and researchers.

∙ Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

∙ Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide mentorship and feedback to team members.

Project Management

∙ Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of waste management consulting projects, ensuring they

meet client requirements, budget, and deadlines.

∙ Monitor project progress, allocate resources, and mitigate risks. Client Relationship Management:

∙ Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.

∙ Provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients on waste management strategies, plans, , and

Technical Expertise :

∙ Understanding the practical knowledge about waste management and associated fields available with

the organization and documenting it appropriately in reports, case studies and similar technical

documentation.

∙ Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, regulations, and technological advancements in waste

management.

∙ Offer technical expertise to guide project teams and clients effectively.

∙ Visits to waste management facilities, carrying out interviews of relevant stakeholders and data

collection through surveys and other methods.

Financial Management

∙ Prepare and manage the budget for the waste management consultancy division, monitoring expenses

and revenue.

∙ Maximize profitability through efficient resource allocation and cost control.

∙ Generate regular reports and performance metrics to evaluate the division's success and provide

insights for decision-making

Requirements

Bachelors/Masters Degree preferably in environmental engineering/science
